Lauren is a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley, studying English and Political Economy with an interest in intellectual property and civil rights law. At Berkeley, she writes for the Berkeley Political Review — the university's only non-partisan journal — as a U.S. Section Writer, and is involved with Nikkei Student Union, Young People's Alliance, and Camp Kesem Berkeley, exploring her balance of professional and personal passions.

As a lover of her community and self-published author, Lauren enjoys helping others through any means she can express herself creatively — whether sparking inspiration for essays, writing poetry, or speaking out on relevant issues she cares deeply about. Making change in even the smallest way possible is her greatest privilege — and one she does not take lightly.
